Solana Vista Playground Pals

We are pleased to announce a new program called Playground Pals which will take place during lunch recess every day. The purpose of Playground Pals is to provide a wide variety of games and activities for the students to participate in with a focus on health, fitness, and positive socialization. The PTA has been generous enough to provide financial support for this program; however the most important resource for the program to be successful is the volunteers.

If you would be willing to volunteer just once a week during lunch recess, you woud be providing an amazing support for our children. If you have a particular activitiy or game that you would like for us to incorporate into our program, we encourage you to sign up for that activity. - Coach Vidalis

Skyline Playground Partners

We need volunteers who want to have fun in the sun with our Skyline kids!

With the help of YMCA staff members, parent volunteers will be providing fun games and activities. The focus is to provide an emotionally safe outdoor environment for all students, encouraging positive character development through team building and skill development. The program aims to help our children develop positive and effective conflict resolution, respectful communication, confidence, sportsmanship and teamwork. We want our kids to have a fun recess experience in a safe secure environment, where everyone who wants to be included is included.

You can volunteer once a month, once a week, or each session! It’s up to you! If you sign up to volunteer with YMCA Playground Partners for four sessions each month, you can receive a free family membership to the Magdalena Ecke Family YMCA!

Volunteers: Must complete a background check and 1 hour of training. When signing up to volunteer for 4 sessions/month, you will receive a FREE FAMILY membership to YMCA. ($900 value!)
