Program	School	Description
Playground Programs	SV/SKY	Organized play programs that the students may participate in during lunch recess. The PTA funds the program and organizes the volunteers.
Study Buddies	SV/SKY	Sponsored by San Dieguito Alliance and the Solana Beach PTA, this is a community service opportunity for teens to tutor and friendship an elementary school student for one hour after school each week.
SuperStar Math	SV	Optional math program that encourages students to complete worksheets to earn prizes. The PTA funds this program and organizes the volunteers.
Book Exchange	SV/SKY	All students are encouraged to exchange their old books for new ones. The PTA coordinates and funds this program.
SV - Young Scientist Club	SV	Guest speakers visit before school to discuss/demonstrate how science is used in their jobs. The PTA funds and organizes this program.
SKY - Young Scientist Club	SKY	This club runs from February through May. The PTA funds and organizes this program.
Reflections Art Program	SV/SKY	The National PTA Reflections Program is an arts recognition and achievement program for students. View information about this year's event: Reflections 2011-12 : "Diversity Means...".
Waves Directory	SV/SKY	The PTA organizes and funds a directory that includes the students from both schools. Contact the Wave Directory PTA Representative(s) for more information.
Teacher Appreciation Week	SV/SKY	The PTA organizes and funds a week of activities to show our teachers how much we appreciate them.
Red Ribbon Week	SV/SKY	The PTA sponsors Red Ribbon Week which involves coordinating activities at schools for kids that promote making healthy choices.
Parent Education Programs	SV/SKY	The PTA organizes and funds a number of guest speakers to which all parents are invited.
Yearbook	SV/SKY	Each school offers a Yearbook for sale at the end of the year. The PTA develops and provides financial support for this program.
Dad's Club	SV/SKY	The Dad's Club provides a number of activites throughout the year including Pancake Breakfasts, Ice Cream Socials, Garden Projects and Structured Play during recess. The PTA supports and promotes this program.
3rd Grade Play	SV	Each year the 3rd Graders at Solana Vista put on a play which is followed by a picnic. The PTA supports and funds this program.
6th Grade Camp, Play, Party, and Promotion	SKY	The PTA supports and provides funding for yearly 6th Grade Camp, Play, Party and Promotion Ceremony.
School Assemblies & Field Trips	SV/SKY	The PTA provides funding for school assemblies and field trips.
Spirit Wear Sales	SV/SKY	The PTA is responsible for creating and selling the school Spirit Wear which includes a new design each year. Please visit our Store to see what is currently available.
Newsletters	SV/SKY	The PTA develops and distributes the quarterly communication newsletters, "The Wave" at Skyline and "The Wavelength" at Solana Vista.
Recycling	SV/SKY	The PTA coordinates volunteers for Recycling Programs at the schools as needed.
Newcomer Orientation & Back to School Luncheon	SV/SKY	The PTA coordinates the Newcomer Orientation for parents and a back to school luncheon for the teachers.
Grants to Schools	SV/SKY	The PTA gives a large donation at the end of the year that funds various school needs.
Grants to Teachers	SV/SKY	The PTA gives grants to teachers to assist them with stocking their classrooms.
Legislation	SV/SKY	The PTA informs parents/families about important legislative issues related to education.
Room Parent Volunteers	SV/SKY	The PTA coordinates the Room Parent Volunteers each year.
School-wide Volunteers	SV/SKY	The PTA coordinates many school-wide volunteers each year.
PTA Website	SV/SKY	The PTA funds and updates the new PTA website.
Volunteer Coordination	SV/SKY	The PTA coordinates the volunteers for the SBFL Halloween Carnival and Beach Ball.
