2011-2012 Reflections

The National PTA Reflections Program is an arts recognition and achievement program for students. The Reflections Program provides opportunities for students to express themselves creatively and to receive positive recognition for original works of art inspired by a pre-selected theme, while increasing community awareness on the importance of the arts in education.

Here are the 2011 Entries:

Express Yourself!
Do you express your creativity through drawing?
Do you like to take photographs?
Are you a talented painter?
Is writing stories or poems a favorite activity?
Do you love to dance, or write your own songs?
Would you like to have your artwork displayed at an exhibit, for others to see?

If so, then you are invited to participate in this year's REFLECTIONS program, sponsored by the PTA.

The theme for the 2011/2012 school year will be: "Diversity Means..."

Think about what “Diversity Means...” means to you, and how you want to express it. Create an original piece of artwork in one of six areas:
  • Musical Composition
  • Dance Choreography
  • Film/Video Production
  • Literature
  • Visual Arts
  • Photography
Participation in the Reflections Program is organized by school grade. Student works are critiqued against others in the same grade division to allow for recognition and judging by appropriate developmental age and skill level. All participants will have their entries on public exhibit.
